We are excited to announce our first ever Southern Highlands dinner and we’d love you to come along. We are lucky to have special guest Tim Macartney-Snape present at this event.
Tim Macartney-Snape, one of Australia’s best known mountaineers, has attempted Mount Everest on two very different expeditions and has reached the summit on both, winning acclaim from around the world. In 1984 he became, with Greg Mortimer, the first Australian to summit the world’s tallest peak (via a new route on the North Face), and in 1990 the first person to climb it from sea level, departing from the Bay of Bengal. The film of his achievement, Everest: Sea to Summit, won prizes in seven countries for best mountain film. Tim is also the founder of Sea to Summit, a range of adventure, outdoor and hiking gear and accessories based in Perth, Western Australia and Boulder, Colorado.
It’s on Thursday 10th September from 7-10pm at Biota Dining, Bowral. Tickets are $80 each or $750 for 10. Join us for fine dining in a Chef’s hatted restaurant, drinks and entertainment.
