Meet Brenda Isingoma, our new Monitoring and Evaluation Manager*!
The youngest of five children, Brenda was born and raised in the rural areas of Uganda’s Kamuli district by her maternal uncle, who went above and beyond to ensure Brenda received the best quality education possible.
Brenda has extensive professional experience in the education and health sectors, joining School for Life from STIR Education where she designed and spearheaded a number of important impact measurement projects.
It was Brenda’s experiences growing up in rural Uganda and her passion for education that first attracted her to School for Life.
“Having worked in the education and health sector before and knowing the kind of life that people in rural Uganda live, I was moved by School for Life’s mission of educating poverty out of existence,” Brenda says.
“I wanted to be part of the team that is making a great impact in the life of the rural Ugandan community.”
Brenda’s new role as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager places her in charge of implementing and maintaining monitoring and evaluation systems including developing baseline data, indicator targeting, tracking and reporting, managing data collection systems, leading impact assessments and providing feedback on project strategies and activities. In her role Brenda is also responsible for suggesting strategies to the organisation’s leadership team for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of School for Life’s projects.
Already, Brenda is loving her new role here at School for Life.
“The team support here is amazing,” Brenda says.
“....working with a wonderful team that is so much attached to the vision and mission of the organisation, seeing how everyone is focused on achieving the goal is just amazing,” she says.
We are so pleased to welcome Brenda to our team - her wealth of experience is sure to be invaluable as we work to educate poverty out of existence.
*We are thrilled Brenda is now leading the team in Uganda as Country Director. (Updated: January 2023)
